Za nami wyjątkowe dni pełne sportowych emocji, integracji i międzynarodowych spotkań. W Wiśle zakończyła się kolejna edycja No Barriers Champions League, czyli europejskiego turnieju piłkarskiego dla osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną, w którym udział wzięło 12 drużyn i blisko 200 zawodników z różnych zakątków Europy.

Turniej odbył się na obiektach Ośrodka Przygotowań Paraolimpijskich w Wiśle, który przez niemal tydzień był miejscem spotkania zawodników, trenerów i opiekunów z wielu krajów Europy. Realizacja wydarzenia była możliwa dzięki wsparciu ze środków Ministerstwa Sportu i Turystyki oraz Państwowego Funduszu Rehabilitacji Osób Niepełnosprawnych, które wspierają rozwój sportu osób z niepełnosprawnościami i inicjatywy służące integracji społecznej.

Do Wisły przyjechały zespoły związane z takimi markami jak FC Barcelona, Sporting Lizbona, FC Köln, Werder Brema, Club Brugge czy WKS Śląsk Wrocław Bez Barier. Przez kilka dni boiska Ośrodka Przygotowań Paraolimpijskich tętniły życiem, a zawodnicy udowodnili, że futbol naprawdę nie zna granic.

Tydzień pełen sportu i integracji

Od czwartku rozpoczęło się już prawdziwe trzydniowe święto futbolu bez barier, podczas którego rozegrano zasadniczą część No Barriers Champions League.

Dwie grupy, wiele emocji

Turniej został podzielony na dwie grupy sponsorowane przez partnerów wydarzenia.

W pierwszej fazie turnieju zespoły rywalizowały systemem „każdy z każdym” w swoich grupach. Następnie drużyny z miejsc sąsiednich mierzyły się w meczach finałowych. Zespoły z miejsc 1–2 walczyły o zwycięstwo w grupie, drużyny z miejsc 3–4 o kolejne lokaty, a ekipy z miejsc 5–6 rozgrywały spotkania o miejsca końcowe.

Decydujące spotkania

Wynik był ważny, ale nie najważniejszy

Choć na boiskach nie brakowało sportowej rywalizacji, od pierwszego dnia wszyscy uczestnicy podkreślali, że najważniejsze są spotkania, nowe znajomości i wspólne przeżywanie futbolowej pasji.

Przez cały pobyt w Wiśle zawodnicy z różnych krajów mieli okazję nie tylko rywalizować, ale przede wszystkim poznawać się, wymieniać doświadczeniami i budować przyjaźnie. Wspólne treningi, posiłki, rozmowy i mecze stworzyły wyjątkową atmosferę, która jest znakiem rozpoznawczym No Barriers Champions League.

Dziękujemy za wspólne święto futbolu bez barier

Po zakończeniu turnieju do organizatorów napływały dziesiątki pozytywnych komentarzy, podziękowań i wiadomości od zawodników, trenerów, opiekunów oraz kibiców. Atmosfera, jaka panowała przez cały pobyt w Wiśle, pokazała, jak wielką wartość mają takie wydarzenia.

Od początku przyświecał nam jeden cel, aby każdy zawodnik wrócił do domu szczęśliwy, doceniony i bogatszy o nowe doświadczenia oraz przyjaźnie. Patrząc na setki uśmiechów, wspólne zdjęcia i słowa wdzięczności płynące ze wszystkich stron Europy, możemy śmiało powiedzieć, że ten cel został osiągnięty.

Dziękujemy wszystkim drużynom, trenerom, wolontariuszom, partnerom, sponsorom, kibicom oraz instytucjom wspierającym wydarzenie za stworzenie wyjątkowego turnieju, który po raz kolejny udowodnił, że sport potrafi łączyć ludzi ponad wszelkimi granicami i barierami.

A Festival of Football Without Barriers, Friendship, and Unforgettable Emotions in Wisła

We have just experienced a truly exceptional few days filled with sporting excitement, inclusion, and international connections. Another edition of the No Barriers Champions League, a European football tournament for people with intellectual disabilities, has come to an end in Wisła. The event brought together 12 teams and nearly 200 players from across Europe.

The tournament was held at the Paralympic Preparation Centre in Wisła, which for almost a week became a meeting place for players, coaches, and support staff from many European countries. The event was made possible thanks to funding from the Polish Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, both of which support the development of sport for people with disabilities and initiatives promoting social inclusion.

Teams associated with renowned clubs and organizations such as FC Barcelona, Sporting CP, FC Köln, Werder Bremen, Club Brugge, and WKS Śląsk Wrocław Bez Barier traveled to Wisła to take part in the competition. For several days, the pitches of the Paralympic Preparation Centre were full of energy, as the players demonstrated that football truly knows no boundaries.

A Week of Sport and Inclusion

Teams began arriving in Wisła on June 7, with the first groups from Poland and abroad reaching the venue. The following two days were dedicated to friendly matches and getting to know one another. These games also served an important sporting purpose, allowing the organizers to better assess the level of each team.

From Thursday onward, the event transformed into a three-day celebration of football without barriers, featuring the main stage of the No Barriers Champions League competition.

Two Groups, Countless Emotions

The tournament was divided into two groups sponsored by event partners.

Stragan Zdrowia Silver Group

The following teams competed in this group:

R-GOL Gold Group

The Gold Group featured:

• Insuperabili

• MKS Siódemka Ruda Śląska
• Sporting CP
• FC Köln

During the first phase of the tournament, teams competed in a round-robin format within their respective groups. This was followed by placement and final matches between teams that finished in corresponding positions. The teams ranked 1st and 2nd competed for the group title, those in 3rd and 4th place battled for the next positions, while teams ranked 5th and 6th played for the remaining places.

Stragan Zdrowia Silver Group

• Club Brugge defeated Pasjonormalni to win the group.
• Lower Silesia overcame Ascot United.
• Special Olympics Ukraine proved stronger than Werder Bremen.

R-GOL Gold Group

• MKS Siódemka Ruda Śląska defeated FC Barcelona in a penalty shootout.
• Sporting CP beat FC Köln.
• WKS Śląsk Wrocław Bez Barier triumphed over Insuperabili after a penalty shootout, securing victory in the R-GOL Gold Group.

The Result Mattered, But It Was Not the Most Important Thing

Although there was no shortage of competitive spirit on the pitch, participants consistently emphasized from day one that the most valuable aspect of the tournament was the opportunity to meet new people, build relationships, and share a passion for football.

Throughout their stay in Wisła, players from different countries had the chance not only to compete but, more importantly, to get to know one another, exchange experiences, and form lasting friendships. Shared training sessions, meals, conversations, and matches created the unique atmosphere that has become the hallmark of the No Barriers Champions League.

Following the tournament, the organizers received dozens of positive comments, messages of appreciation, and heartfelt thanks from players, coaches, support staff, and fans. The atmosphere that prevailed throughout the event in Wisła demonstrated the tremendous value of initiatives like this.

From the very beginning, we had one goal: to ensure that every player returned home feeling happy, appreciated, and enriched by new experiences and friendships. Looking at the hundreds of smiles, shared photographs, and words of gratitude coming from all corners of Europe, we can confidently say that this goal was achieved.

We would like to thank all participating teams, coaches, volunteers, partners, sponsors, supporters, and institutions that contributed to making this tournament such a special event. Once again, it proved that sport has the power to bring people together beyond all borders and barriers.
